Law
Universities base their admission procedures depending upon the marks a
candidate gets in the CLAT exam. Some law colleges have few more tests as well
as interviews lined up for the students. By becoming a part of one of these
prestigious universities one can be assured that their futures are in good
hands. The kind of exposure one gets in these institutions helps broaden the
mindset and the personalities of the candidates.
How to get there?
To appear for
the Common Law Admission Test one has to have completed their higher secondary
education. This eligibility criterion is to get a place in the undergraduate
program. By scoring more than 40-45% in their 12th board and by submitting the
necessary documents proving their eligibility, a candidate can fills the online
application form. The forms are available from the 1st of January and the last
date to submit the application is 31st of March 2015. The final examination
will be held in the month of May.
Admit cards
will be available from the mid month of April. For the undergraduate program an
individual must be of at least 20 years of age, and 22 years in the case of
SC/ST/PD. A series of 200 questions from the fields of reasoning, legal
aptitude, English and comprehension, elementary mathematics, general knowledge
and current affairs will be asked. One mark is given to every question and
negative marking of 0.25 is done for the wrong answers.
Qualification
For the
post-graduate program a series of 150 questions will be asked from fields like
Constitutional law, Jurisprudence and other law subjects. The marking procedure
is similar to the undergraduate program. One can get admission in law only if
they are Indian Nationals.
About the exam
CLAT exams
are being conducted online. This allows it to have many examination centers all
over the country. The candidate can pick their city from a list provided to
them on the CLAT website. These computer based exams are conducted on Local
Area Network making it safe, secure and un-interrupted. From filling up forms
to paying exam fees everything is done on online basis. One has to practice and
prepare them by taking several mock tests, having group studies etc. Attending
lectures and reading newspapers regularly will also increase ones knowledge. CLAT 2015
Notifications will allow every candidate to get all the details for
